We put a strong emphasis on social involvement
As a company with a social responsibility we are looking forward to supporting people in need. Since many years we have been supporting fundraising campaigns and have been giving charitable donations to different associations. As we intend to accompany a project from the very beginning we decided to accompany a long term project of “Kindernothilfe e.V”. in India, together with our sister company Konen & Lorenzen Recruitment Consultants. The situation
The Project in India consists of 20 villages in the Radhapuram block. This block is situated in Tirunelveli District in the state of Tamil Nadu in South India. Radhapuram is one of the most backward blocks in Tirunelveli District. More than 77% of the families live under the poverty line with an annual income of less than 24.000 Rupies (433 Euros). The unemployment rate is very high. The main bread winners of the families get only 100 to 200 days work per year as daily wage earners or agriculture labourers. More than 72% of the families face food scarcity with the effect that in tense times they have to get loans from local money lenders at high interest rates. 81% of the families have no access to sanitary facilities. Many children suffer from diseases and malnutrition. Around 30% of the children between 6 and 14 years drop out of school.
The Project
The project supports a total of 200 children in those 20 villages. Given to the wide coverage of this project, a lot more children
are benefiting from this support. All activities are aimed at the long-term development of the local population.
Aims of the Kindernothilfe project are:
- Construction of day-care centers
- Employment of teaching staff
- Remediation and coaching
- Health care
- Health camps
Our godchildren
We, the YOURCAREERGROUP AG, and our sister company Konen & Lorenzen Recruitment Consultants are standing in contact with our twelve godchildren. Both sides are writing letters on regular basis in order get to know each other.
